1. What is your NewsRadio fandom "origin story"?
I was 13 when I watched the pilot episode on NBC on March 21, 1995 with my sister. She was a fan & recorded the 1st season. That summer, I rewatched those 7 episodes over & over again. I absolutely loved the show & all of its characters. To this day (I'm 43), it's still my all-time favorite sitcom.
2. What is your favorite memory related to NewsRadio?
Sitting on the floor of my sister's bedroom, watching the pilot episode and just laughing and thinking how clever and funny this show is. I didn't know then that would be my all-time favorite, but I was a fan right away. Another fond memory was listening to the DVD commentaries for the first time.
3. What are some of your favorite NewsRadio episodes?
The Public Domain, Big Brother, French Diplomacy, Smoking, In Through the Out Door, Led Zeppelin II, Stinkbutt, etc.
4. What are some of your favorite moments from the show?
Beth telling Joe "We're being watched." After he goes on, she says "I'm not talking about aliens." "You mean PEOPLE are watching us? You're paranoid." As well as the Johnny Johnson trilogy, Dave taking the polygraph test, Matthew wearing Lisa's sweater, Bill and his butler, and the list goes on.
5. Do you own any NewsRadio episodes/seasons?
YES!
6. Do you own any NewsRadio merchandise, memorabilia, or artwork?
I have a little radio that looks like a TV set with a picture of the NewsRadio cast. I have all five seasons on DVD. I used to have an EMMY "For Your Consideration" VHS with two season four episodes. I have the fan-made board game and a couple WNYX mugs.
7. Do you enjoy to NewsRadio related podcasts or videos?
I listened to Dispatches from Fort Awesome and I'm always looking up NewsRadio-related interviews on YouTube.
8. Would like to say to anything to anyone who helped make this magnificent show?
Thank you for making my favorite show ever. You've all done a great job. My life is better for having NewsRadio in it.
